Frank Fischer (46) will head the project team for the new Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga (USA) from 1 October 2008.
He is therefore also the designated manager of the plant in the US state of Tennessee.
The engineer joined Volkswagen in 1991, initially sharing responsibility for fundamental strategic issues and competitive comparisons, before becoming manager of body construction at the Wolfsburg plant and then moving on to Emden as production manager in 2001.
Since March 2005 Frank Fischer has been plant manager in Brunswick.
