CALL FOR ENTRIES


Deadline: 5 December 2008

Create a total packaging concept that works from the production line, to the warehouse, into the retail store, and all the way through to the end consumers. Create a solution that adds real value to companies and that will delight consumers.

Think innovatively: create something that is new & meaningful. Take into account consumer trends & industry constraints. Think of a creation that enhances an environmentally friendly product lifecycle and that improves our ecological footprint.

Who can participate?

All students, design schools & non-professional packaging designers resident in a European country are invited to compete.

Either participate in a group or as an individual. Only one entry per candidate/group is accepted.

Designers who are already working in the packaging industry may not participate.

The SCA Packaging Design Challenge 2008 will run between September 2008 and March 2009. Submissions will be accepted until December 5th 2008.

Winners

First prize is €3000 and an internship at the SCA Packaging Innovation Centre in Brussels or Design Centres across Europe

€1000 each for participants place 2nd to 5th

Work with the professionals: in December 2008, five concept designs will be short-listed, and have the opportunity to develop and fine-tune their concept together with professional designers from SCA Packaging.

Get on the shortlist, then come and present the design to major world brands at the design challenge award event at the SCA Packaging Innovation Centre in March 2009.
