Patricia Field, one of the world’s most sought after stylist’s, who has Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada to her name and now, Marks and Spencers; the accessible, family-friendly store for women of all ages, shapes and size.
Marks and Spencers has joined forces with the flaming redhead to produce ‘Destination Style’, a Patricia Field collection to be sold in M&S stores, as well as internationally, online.
The collection was launched at New York Fashion Week, where Field’s unconventional, if not, fashion-forward outfits were showcased.
The verdict? Field’s red, spotted halter dress is an unfortunate reminder of Giles Deacon’s bandeau dress which was the main feature in his disappointing launch at New Look, screaming ‘cheap’ and definitely not ‘chic’.
Somehow this duet has worked, and this one-off collection is bound to appeal to the M&S frequenters that would like to experiment with their silhouette and just love a little bit more colour.
