Grohe presents Milan International Furniture and Interior Design Exhibition
Milan, a buzzing metropolis which is home to some 1.4 million people, has often been referred to as the 'design capital of the world'.
The international interior design community flocks to Milan each year to attend the 'Salone Internazionale del Mobile'. Organised for the first time in 1958, this furniture exhibition has long emerged as the world's leading showcase of contemporary furniture and interior design. The 2004 edition will be held concurrently with the biennial EIMU (office furniture) and EUROCUCINA (kitchens and kitchen furniture) show. Both will add their own culture and design flair to this event.
Design remains a key issue in Milan also in 2004. This is evident from special features such as the 'Salon Satellite', a multi-faceted platform for talented designers presenting more than 400 newcomers in 2004. Under the motto 'Dining Design', the 'Salon Satellite' will be staged in Hall 9. It will be exciting to explore the young designers' fresh and surprising approaches to this year's 'Restaurant' theme. April 12 will see the 4th international 'Conference of university courses in design' taking place on the exhibition grounds under the title 'Designing Designers'.
In addition, more than 270 downtown showrooms will feature a wide variety of exhibitions and events, offering the international community ample opportunities for meeting and networking.
The 'Zona Tortona', one of Milan's oldest districts, is considered one of the most important areas for these exhibitions, and this is also where Grohe's showroom is located.
Attending the Milan furniture show has long become a must for all manufacturers in the furniture and interior design industries as well as for producers of related luxury items, not to mention international designers, architects, interior decorators and lovers of contemporary arts and crafts.
