From Yves Saint Laurent to Dolce & Gabbana and Chloe, last season was all about art-inspired, brush-stroked and paint-spattered pieces, so this season, High Street favourite Oasis is taking the concept one step further.
Following the success of its recent collaboration with Liberty of London, Oasis has teamed up with the Royal College of Art, creating a design competition for first-year MA Fashion and Textile students to design a modern and feminine collection.
The competition features a multitude of design disciplines from knitwear to embroidery and accessories, with individual pieces focusing on colour and print.
And it seems Oasis's nurturing of new British talent has paid off as the winning collection, Raven designed by Liam Evans, Clare McLachlan and Alison Dunlop, is exceptional.
Highlights include a fabulous feather dress, printed kaftan, cropped leather jacket and a bold blockprinted skirt. Truly the epitome of wearable art.
