Montreal International (MI) today announced that an international conference on innovation and business development, Innovation Montreal 2008, will be held at the Centre Mont-Royal.
This first edition, which offers a rich program of lectures, luncheon discussions, round tables and business meetings, will feature more than 30 speakers from Europe, Asia and North America.
"We aim to position Montreal as a key location for innovation on the world scene," declared Pierre Brunet, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Montreal International.
"This event, which is at the very core of our mandate to support the development of innovation in the metropolitan region, will allow Montreal companies to discover daring models of innovation in human capital, funding, collaboration with universities, and competitive clusters.
Innovation is an increasingly strategic factor for business at all levels," he added.
Among the program's highlights, the Minister of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade, Minister of Tourism and Minister responsible for the Montreal region, Raymond Bachand, will deliver an address on the strategic orientations of the Government of Quebec in innovation and research.
