Fashion Vampire re-ignites by re-launching its online magazine, just in time for the start of Los Angeles Fashion Week, which it will cover in its usual unusual fashion.
Featured on the current cover of the magazine is Actress Lorielle New, in a Kevan Hall design; Ms. New wore this dress to an Oscar luncheon and was subsequently surrounded and hounded by the press when she walked onto the red carpet.
"Fashion Vampire was my nom de plume when I was a publicist, and it clicked, so we kept the name as the title for our magazine. The magazine is dedicated to education through the arts and is ever-seeking the art in life. Fashion is a major focus, as is art, music, entertainment, education, and current affairs. Unlike normal vampires, we suck the blood out of stories - not humans - for the nourishment of our readers," says Fashion Vampire Editor Murray Rosen. "We look for passion in the people we cover, and cover them passionately."
"They paint pictures with words," says long time friend and artist Baroness Victoria von Kap-herr.
Faith Boutin, Publisher of Fashion Vampire Magazine, avers, "The world is our beat, and we seek to convey the beat of the world. We can find a great story in every person we meet, and tell it in a style our readers will find entertaining, edifying, and uplifting."
Kevan Hall, showing on the current cover of Fashion Vampire Magazine, has gained many awards and great respect in the world of fashion since graduating from FIDM. He previously worked at Halston Design as Creative Director, and then launched his own house in 2002. Hall has dressed Celine Dion, Sharon Stone, Angela Bassett, Charlize Theron, Selma Hayek, and Kamora Lee Simmons.
Adhering to a design philosophy which emphasizes purity of style, incomparable tailoring and sensuously draped streamlined silhouettes, Kevan Hall's natural sense of sophisticated elegance always shows through in his creations.
