FanklinCovey Products & Design-her Gals Launch New Line to aid BCA Month
PRESS RELEASE

October 2008

FranklinCovey Products and Design-her Gals announced that the two companies have launched a new line of women's products during October, Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The new line, The GALS Collection, is based upon the Design-her Gals innovative product line where customers create personalized stationery, note cards, announcements, calling cards and stickers that include their own avatar ("Gal") with their likeness, including hair color, hairstyle, eye color, designer outfits and accessories.

FranklinCovey Products donates a portion of every GALS purchase to the Gal to Gal Foundation, Design-her Gals' sister non-profit organization, that dedicates its resources exclusively to Stage IV breast cancer patients and their families.

Nearly 300,000 women and men this year will die of the disease.

The GALS Collection (Give, Achieve, Love, and Succeed) includes planner pages, binders, totes, calendars, stationery gifts, notepads and accessories, such as passport covers, card cases and luggage tags.

The products will help women better manage their time, accomplish more, live an inspired life and allow them to bring dignity and comfort to patients and their families who are battling Stage IV breast cancer.

"These products will help women everywhere to get more organized and be more productive, while looking chic and stylish," said Sarah Merz, chief executive officer, FranklinCovey Products.

"And, they know when they choose to purchase one of these products they immediately become part of a very important cause -- giving back to others who have breast cancer."

"These products are useful, fun and sassy and their purchase goes towards raising money for a great cause," said Jeanne Fitzmaurice, president of Design-her Gals.

"Some of the products also have a free customization option. Customers can visit www.designhergals.com and design an avatar that reflects their own style and uniqueness and then print it onto their note pages, to-do pages, and business cards. They can literally make the products their very own."

The GALS planner pages feature inspiring quotes from some of the most engaging women from all walks of life, including: celebrities, entrepreneurs, business executives, magazine editors, athletes, pioneers and, of course, courageous women battling Stage IV breast cancer. Each "Gal's" quote embodies her personal mantra.

The life lessons shared by these engaging personalities will inspire women to courageously pursue their personal and professional aspirations.

Some of the "Gals" quoted in the GALS planner pages include: Marg Helgenberger, Feature film actress, Crime Scene Investigator star, Jean Chatzky, Bestselling Author and Financial Editor, NBC Today, Molly Sims, Model and Actress, Becky Hammond, WNBA Player, Dayna Devon, Television Host, "EXTRA!", and Dorit Shapiro, the former president of The Gal to Gal Foundation, who passed away October 12, 2008 from Stage IV Breast Cancer. She was 38 years old.
