Houston design professional Laura Umansky, Assoc AIA, Allied ASID, took top honors at the annual Texas Gulf Coast Chapter ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) Design Awards for Best Commercial Corporate Offices Under 7000 sqft, Best Commercial Single Space and the Honorable Mention for Residential Urban Living.
The awards ceremony was held at Warehouse Live in Houston.
Over 150 entries were submitted for consideration and were judged by a panel of her peers with the Orange County California Chapter of ASID.
Laura Umansky brings classic architectural training and international design experience as well as a passion for absolute quality and individual expression to the design market.
Umansky also brings something else, her own retail boutique located at 1840 Westheimer Road in Houston.

With experience in architecture and interior decor, Umansky's practice is centered in design and project management for multi-million dollar residences domestically as well as internationally. An elevated vision and exquisite taste level are the hallmarks of her design sensibility.
With a background in large-scale commercial interiors, Umansky has proven experience in project management, coming in on schedule and under-budget.
Laura Umansky is a native Texan who studied at the University of Texas receiving her bachelor's degree in studio art. After her undergraduate studies, Umansky attended the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture where she received her master's degree in architecture.
