Renowned Graphic Designer and Artist, Milton Glaser celebrated the launch of his news book, Drawing Is Thinking, with a talk about his commitment to the fundamental idea that drawing is not only representative, but, as his title suggests, a way to understand and experience the world.
He also participated in his book signing after the talk.
"Glaser challenges us to embark on a deep, leisurely meditation without stop signs or, indeed, without directions or imperatives of any sort except, perhaps to think about what the Bhuddists mean by a 'beginner's mind.' For that, no words are necessary. Open the book to any page and rather than searching for a way to interpret what you are seeing, just sharpen your eyes." says Judith Thurman.
