The Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University (CDIA) is proud to announce that its most recent course catalog has won two design awards.
The 38th Annual Creativity Awards recently named CDIA as a Silver Award winner in its Catalog category. The piece was produced by in-house designers Charice Kalis and Liz Abbate Hyman and features over 150 images of student work.
This year, judges from some of the United States' most prestigious design firms evaluated the work produced by their peers and students, which included a record 2,800 entries from over 44 countries and 45 states.
The 2008-09 catalog also received second place in the 2008 Semi-Annual American Design Awards. Winners were chosen based on an outstanding display of graphic and web design abilities, in a manner conformant with today’s highest standards of visual communication and ethical design standards.
"Designers by trade will always think outside the box, but having clients or circumstances place constraints limiting those ideas can be very challenging,” said Kevin Javid, Vice President of American Design Awards.
“One shining example of great work amidst these challenges is the entry by CDIA."
