Baume & Mercier & LOVE146 Event Held On World Children’s Day
With an estimated 2 children sold into slavery every minute and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) believing that at least 1.2 million children are currently trafficked, an organization such as Love146 is full steam ahead in working to abolish child sex slavery and exploitation.
When the luxury company Baume & Mercier approached Love146 to sponsor an event to help raise money to benefit their organization, the fates dictated that the event is World Children’s Day.
On this day organizations around the world such as Ronald McDonald’s House raise money on behalf of the world’s children.
The fact that Baume & Mercier is spending for positive change during this time of economic turmoil shows that charity prevails over all adversity.
In New York City, Baume & Mercier in association with charitable organization LOVE146 is proud to present, INTO THE LIGHT: Sexually Exploited Children On The Path To Restoration at the Helen Mills Event Space.
The evening will be hosted by Actor/Author Stephen Baldwin and will include a silent auction, video presentation and a moving exhibition of photography by award winning photojournalist Carolyn Cole.
The exhibition is a story told in images of the plight of exploited young people in Southeast Asia in order to draw attention and funds to enable the incredible work of LOVE 146 in prevention and aftercare.
