Like many in Southern California, Cordelle and Jimmy Louis watched the news reports on the recent wildfires in disbelief.
The owners of Design Theory, a retail furniture showroom and design firm downtown, felt compelled to find a way to help. They have designed a complete package to assist those who have suffered losses with all their furnishing needs.
The "Fire Victim Rapid Relief Package" is offered only to people who have been directly affected by the fires.
The design team at Design Theory will provide complimentary interior design consultations and significant discounts on furnishings so as to be of true assistance to the fire victims.
"We will use our talents to provide a means of restoring the lives and dignity of Southern California fire victims. We cannot possibly fully understand what these families are going though, but we want to do what is within our power to make the recovery period as painless as possible," says Jimmie Louis.
Cordelle Louis explains how the package is structured.
They offer two design options per room, including:
Each room layout has an itemized list of the furniture selected for that room. All furniture listed is included within the total cost of that room.
Once all rooms are selected, these special clients will see an art and accessory package.
This package will include all recommended artwork and accessories as selected by the assigned designer of their Fire Victim Rapid Relief Package.
During their designer consultation they will have an opportunity to select some of these items.
Once new residence are confirmed, there will be an offer of a separate window treatment package.
This package will be based on the actual number of windows and the architectural measurements.
All window treatment fabrics and styles will be selected by the assigned designer of their Fire Victim Rapid Relief Package.
Design Theory's designers will put together two color schemes specific to wall paint colors that will coordinate with the pre-selected fabrics for the furniture and furnishings.
Understand that there is not a standard layout when it comes to wall and window structure, therefore one custom floorplan per room will be selected.
These floorplans will be for the sole purpose of space planning for their new residence based on actual dimensions.
Installation will be a separate line-itemized price based on the rooms selected. Installation is inclusive of the following: All linens, artwork, accessories, drapery, and furniture.
Furnishings will be assembled and placed according to the floorplan as described above.
