Pod Digital Design has been selected as a winner in the category of Best Entertainment Website for the 2008 MITX Awards. The annual MITX Awards is the largest awards competition in the country that recognizes achievements in the development and implementation of interactive technologies.
Winners were announced in 33 categories, including five "Best of" awards, at a sold out ceremony attended by more than 1,000 industry professionals held on November 19th at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.
Pod Digital won in this category for its production of an interactive adventure promoting A&E Television's Andromeda Strain; a two-part original mini-series from A&E.
The adventure entitled Wildfire Labs challenged gamers to treat and contain unknown biological threats before they become global catastrophes in an exciting multi-level online game.
Every week for four weeks prior to the main event, players were challenged to discover the cure for fictitious diseases. The game allowed the audience to experience the thrill and excitement of the science behind the program and meet the cast. The game is comprised of 20 mini-games, 25 storyline videos, 3D renderings and extensive animation.

The award caps an exciting year of growth for Pod Design, who saw revenues grow 33% over 2007, and added new project work for clients such as Novell, Yahoo!, Discovery Channel International, Warner Brothers, Bio Channel and others.
Entries were judged by over 100 industry professionals representing various disciplines including creative directors, designers, technologists, online media representatives, investors and business professionals.
