Job Description:
Blackrock Studios is seeking for a The Franchise Design Director who reports to and works closely with the Game Director to establish creative direction for the product and supervise the design team including both feature and level designers.
One who holds the creative vision for the game and are able to communicate it both from a high level concept and moment-to-moment, and aslo to be accountable for the game design and ensuring that it is innovative and of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities include taking an active role in planning the design, authoring and maintaining design documents, gathering reference and working with other leads on the team to establish priorities for development; to oversee creation of the design document, ensuring that all designs are clearly and consistently documented in accordance with the design templates for the project; to understands and directs the design of detailed systems that drive the features throughout the game.
As well as to establish design milestones and drives the design approval process to ensure that the design team meet their deliverables.
Adding on to that, to review and provide feedback on all creative development for the game, to mentors and provides career management for the design leads on the game team.
To be responsible for evangelising the creative vision for the product to all members of the game-team and and keeping people up-to-date with any changes that are made during the course of the project and work with the Game Director to ensure that product vision and quality benchmarks are being met.
