Contemporary Artwork by Elizabeth Orleans (ceramic sculpture), Eric Schwabel (photography), Gary Palmer (paintings) will be exhibited for a one night event at The Distillery in Venice Beach.
The Artists comprising The Distillery are each making Contemporary work in a variety of traditional media will open their studios to the public, showing their work in the environment in which it was created.
This will be the first opportunity to feast your eyes on the recent creative produce from the California's Westside answer to the downtown Brewery.
New work by Orleans is a further development of her work in the Bay Area, continuing to examine relationships between homogenous orthogonal forms and tactile organic shapes within.
Schwabel’s new work draws from his commercial photography with Scott Meyer and Associates, creating narratives in his high definition portraiture, that are a perversion of ‘celebrity’ and ‘vanity’. Gary Palmer’s recent distillations are contemporary reinventions of age old traditions in painting such as, portrait, figure, and landscape.
