SANYO announced that five of its products have received iF Product Design Award 2009, for a portable LCD television, the eneloop solar light, the eneloop kairo rechargeable hand warmer, the eneloop universal charger, and a 3LCD projector base model.
iF Design Awards are internationally recognized, and are awarded not only based on outward design, but also on functionality, environmental consciousness shown, ease of use, and innovation among other comprehensive judging criterion.
An awards ceremony will be formally held during the CeBIT Show in Hanover, Germany to publicly announce the winners and present the awards.
This will be the second time that SANYO products have received iF Design Awards, following the awards received last year.
Additionally, the products that have been recognized with these awards have all been selected by Japan to receive Good Design 2008 awards.
