The Arizona chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design, is holding its annual Art Auction fundraising event.
Original works of art, including paintings, photography, sculptures, digital art, jewelry and more, will be auctioned to benefit the art programs of Free Arts of Arizona as well as AIGA Arizona's student and professional programming.
Attendance is expected to surpass 300 this year as the event enters its 17th year and continues to increase in popularity.
More than 100 pieces of work from renowned local and regional talent will be showcased in front of a wide audience of art buyers, enthusiasts and design industry supporters.
Notable participating artists include local fashion icon Angela Johnson and photographers Jackie Alpers and Raechel Running.
Artwork donations for the 2008 Art Auction will be accepted.
