LG Electronics Canada notified Canadians that it is working actively with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) as part of NRCan's initiative, within the appliance market, to review ENERGY STAR testing and compliance of "French Door" refrigerators with ice and water dispensers in the door.
As of December 1, 2008, LG Canada and NRCan are continuing to work together to review testing and compliance.
LG Canada is a proud participant of the ENERGY STAR program and proactively reached out to NRCan when concerns regarding the current test standards of the ENERGY STAR program were first brought to our attention. LG Canada expects to release a further update on this matter.
