Deadline: 14 January 2009
The setting for the lighting of the first ‘electric candle’ in Canada, Montreal's only entirely baroque church houses the oldest operating performance hall in Quebec. This highly symbolic venue is about to come out of the shadows.
The Quartier des Spectacles and the Gesù, in collaboration with Design Montréal of Ville de Montréal, invite you to submit your ideas for architectural and scenographic lighting that express this building’s living heritage.
A jury of industry experts will judge all the submissions and select three entries. From a prize fund of 20,000, four awards will be distributed: $10,000 to the contest winner, $5,000 to the runner‐up, $3,000 to the third‐place entry and $2,000 to the public’s choice.
