Penton Media's American School & University magazine announced publication of its 26th annual Architectural Portfolio, honoring educational design excellence.
More than 250 projects from across the United States are profiled in the November issue of the magazine and also on the web.
Featured projects showcase the most effective learning environments in America.
American School & University is a monthly educational facilities, purchasing, and business administration magazine reaching 65,000 facility planners, school and university administrators, and architects with this special issue.
Winning entries were selected by a jury of American Institute of Architects (AIA) and school administrators who evaluated submissions of K-12 and college/university projects from architectural firms and schools across the country.
The jury awarded 17, recognizing the most outstanding submissions, and selected 235 other projects to be featured as Outstanding Buildings and Outstanding Landscape Architecture and Campus Master Planning Designs.
Top honors were awarded to Dull Olson Weekes Architects Inc.'s Rosa Parks School and Community Campus at New Columbia, Portland, Ore., winner of the William W. Caudill Citation for the most outstanding K-12 project; Perry Dean Rogers | Partners Architects' Norwich University, Wise Campus Center, Northfield, Vt., winner of the Louis I. Kahn Citation for most outstanding college/university project.
As well as Sherman Carter Barnhart's Richardsville Elementary School, Bowling Green, KY., winner of a Special Citation for its project, which was entered in the Work in Progress category.
