Last night at the St Regis in Singapore, OMD Asia Pacific was crowned Media Agency of the Year 2008 in an award ceremony that recognises the region’s top media and advertising achievers.





Organised by MEDIA magazine and judged by a jury comprising of distinguished marketing leaders and senior members of Media's editorial team, OMD Asia Pacific was lauded for creating strategic and inspirational campaigns that have subsequently gone on to raise industry standards.

This is OMD Asia Pacific’s fourth Media Agency of the Year triumph, the only media agency in Asia Pacific to achieve this feat.

Piping agencies such as MediaCom, Mediaedge:cia, Mindshare and ZenithOptimedia, this coveted award, not only cements OMD Asia Pacific’s pole position in the media industry, it also underscores the agency’s passion and hard work in relentlessly pursuing excellence for its clients.

Like all other years, winning Media Agency of the Year is never easy and agencies wanting to claim this award had to show, beyond doubt, why they were worthy of such an accolade.

OMD Asia Pacific was judged against a range of stringent criteria such as agency achievements, new business wins, client and staff retention rates, the scope of the agency’s work, industry contributions as well as initiatives that positioned OMD Asia Pacific as pioneers and thought leaders in the industry.

Armed with an ambitious plan this year, OMD Asia Pacific focused collectively on leveraging and harnessing all of its assets to strengthen its core offering and empower people to develop teams capable of making things happen.
