Porsche Design and adidas present the new Spring/Summer 2009 Porsche Design Sport Collection.
This is the fifth collection that the two companies will have presented, following the highly successful launch in January 2007.
The Porsche Design Sport Spring/Summer 2009 collection features a wider range of top quality apparel, footwear and accessories.
The category "Running", originally launched in January 2007, will be extended to include "Fitness" making the category: "Running/Fitness".
A new category called "Water/Snow" will also be part of this season's sophisticated range.
The resulting collection features five categories of "Water/Snow", "Running/Fitness", "Driving" as well as "Golf" and "Tennis".
Porsche Design Sport stands for the unique fusion of engineered luxury and sport performance.
The Spring/Summer 2009 range is no exception.
Highlights include the "Water" products which were specifically developed for sailing and water related activities.
These include the "Storm Jacket" which features the new membrane technology c_change from schoeller.
This technology reacts to changing temperatures and activities, offers moisture vapor permeability at the highest level and is wind and waterproof, ensuring optimum body climate.
The "Horizon" is the key style in footwear.
It is adidas' first luxury shoe specially engineered for sailing and water related activities.
Exclusively developed for the Porsche Design Sport Collection it features a drainage system throughout the foot bed and sole for optimal deviation of water.
In addition a non-marking and high abrasion resistant rubber sole with multidirectional grip enables a quicker response over a wet deck.
The color palette of the fifth Porsche Design Sport range extends its focus beyond its signature colors of classic black, white and titanium to also include light sand, cedar green and light scarlet.
The collection will hit retail in January 2009 and will be available in selected high-end stores, adidas Sport Performance Concept Stores and Porsche Design Stores worldwide.
