A merger date has been set. Branding and design agencies SpiekermannPartners and Eden Design & Communication will merge.
The joint agency will do business under the name EdenSpiekermann, with a focus on international design, branding and user experience.
With a staff of more than 100 and sales of €10 million, EdenSpiekermann is set to take a leading role in the European design sector.
SpiekermannPartners has created market strategies, corporate designs, magazine layouts and proprietary fonts for clients including the Berlin Philharmonic, Birkhäuser publishing, Bosch, Bosch Rexroth, Copa-Cogeca, DB (German Rail), Gravis, n-tv, Frankfurt Trade Fairs,
Pioneer Investments and ZDF (German TV).
Type designer and graphic designer Erik Spiekermann is an honorary professor at Bremen’s University of the Arts and holds an honorary doctorate from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
He was inducted into the European Designers Hall of Fame in 2007 and awarded the “Honorary Royal Designer for Industry” title by the British Royal Society.
Spiekermann founded MetaDesign in 1979 and built it into Germany’s largest design company before leaving in 2001
