New York Festivals has unveiled what it calls a “dream team” of Australian and New Zealand judges for its 2009 Advertising In All Media Awards.
The competition, now in its 52nd year, revealed its Australian judges for next year’s ceremony are Dave Bowman, creative group head at Saatchi & Saatchi, Brendon Guthrie, senior copywriter at Grey, Brian Merrifield, digital creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi; and Rocky Ranallo, creative director at BWM.
The New Zealand judging panel includes Angus Hennah, creative director of JWT Auckland and Paul Nagy, head of copy at Clemenger BBDO.
According to organizers, NYF’s awards enjoyed a 23% increase in entries in 2008 compared to last year. The competition recognizes work in all media from 71 countries across the globe, with winners chosen by an international jury of 246 agency creatives.
Michael O’Rourke NYF’s president, said: “It’s an honor to have these guys participate on the jury this year."
"They’ve proven themselves in the industry and 2009 is going to prove to be a year where the industry needs experienced judges for award shows."
"We’re glad to have such a talented group of people representing Australia and New Zealand.”
