From the classic design inspiration of Frank Lloyd Wright to the exotic interpretation of the Bengal Coast, Techcon Dallas, Inc., a full-service architectural design and construction firm, captures the owners' visions for beautiful and unique establishments.
"This has been a pivotal year for Techcon," Bruce Russo, president, said. "We have designed and built incredible restaurants - single locations, as well as multiple units for several concepts. Even though the units might belong to the same concept, each one has its own personality, look and feel."
Techcon's projects are located around the country; however, the company has made an impact on the Dallas dining scene. Notable individual restaurant concepts in Dallas include Aurora, Toulouse, Perry's Restaurant, Bijoux and Chic from Barcelona.
"I have only had positive experiences with Bruce when he has designed and constructed restaurants that I have worked with," Dennis Leibovitz, Executive Vice President, The Retail Connection, said. "As the broker, he helps me get the deal over the goal line by consulting with owners and helping them understand how the correct site impacts their business."
The first Woodlands opened in the Promenade Bolingbrook in suburban Chicago. The restaurant, the first of four to open within 10 months, is inspired by the design style of Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic Fallingwater.
"Working with Techcon on the Promenade Bolingbrook project illustrated to us that having one point of contact for design and construction issues expedites the entire process," Steve Oldendorf, Senior Project Manager, Graycor Construction, said. "Bruce Russo makes the entire process more manageable because his firm is the architect, designer, owner's representative and construction contact."
Techcon rang in 2008 with the much-anticipated opening of Bengal Coast, created by restaurant veteran Mark Brezinski. Located in uptown Dallas, every element in the restaurant was carefully considered to create an exotic dining experience.
"The real advantage of working with Bruce is that he 'sees' the project from all angles. He and his team not only have a keen design eye, but they are also able to translate that into a realistic and 'buildable' plan," Mark Brezinski said.
