HP Middle East announced the appointment of Samer Zein as Director of Technology Services for the Middle East, effective immediately.
He will have the responsibility of maximizing HP technology services’ profit and revenue growth in the Middle East, as well as extending its market leadership, driving effective go-to-market activities and delivering superior customer service.
Samer, who will report to John Hoonhout, HP Middle East Managing Director, will oversee the Technology services business unit different lines, including Enterprise Product Services, channel services, networking solutions, Mission critical services, Data Center transformation infrastructure services and Data center design services.
Samer main objective is to double the technology services solutions revenues by 2010, by leveraging on the wide portfolio of services that HP brings to the middle east, backed up by excellent and wide network of channel partners and a professional team.
Prior to this new assignment, Samer was managing the Technology Services unit in UAE and Gulf cluster which has consistently been the best performing in Middle East and EMEA for the last 3 years.
Before joining HP in 2003, Samer who has more than 17 years experience in the IT field, held a variety of technical, business, sales and management positions in the Middle East and USA.
Samer has a Bachelor degree in Computer and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut (AUB).
