Vikas Kapoor, iQor's president and CEO, has joined the Rubin Museum of Art's (RMA) Board of Trustees.
"The Rubin Museum has created one of the largest collections of Himalayan art in the world and I'm excited to sit on such a distinguished board. I look forward to helping the Museum build on the opportunities they have created for the public to explore and appreciate the art of the Himalayas," said Kapoor.
Founded in 1999 as a nonprofit charitable organization, RMA, the premier museum of Himalayan art in the Western world, opened to the public in October 2004. RMA engages visitors through exhibitions, educational and public programming, and special events that invite a broad range of cultural and historical exploration.
"We are delighted to have a talented leader like Vikas to lend us his business acumen to help us remain a landmark for Himalayan artwork," said Bob Baylis, Chair of the Executive Committee of the Rubin Museum of Art. "Vikas has proven his leadership skills through his work with iQor, and his successful business history. We are proud to have him on our team."
