Corel® Channel Program Continues Strong Leadership Position with Two Awards

Corel® Channel Program Continues Strong Leadership Position with Two Awards from VARBusiness Magazine

Industry Publication Distinguishes Program with a Perfect 5-Star Rating and Names Fiaaz Walji to Top 100 Channel Executives List

A year after revamping its channel program to become the most flexible, partner-centric in the software industry, Corel Corporation was recently bestowed two major honors from VARBusiness, with the magazine giving the Corel Channel Partner Program a 5-Star rating and naming Fiaaz Walji, director of channel sales, to its Top 100 Channel Executives List.

"We applaud vendors like Corel for demonstrating best practices and for the leadership roles they have achieved within the IT distribution channel," says VARBusiness Editor Lawrence M. Walsh.

Corel launched its new channel program in February 2005 to offer OEMs, resellers and technology integrators the most flexible arrangements in the software sector - all with high margins and a low total cost of ownership. Today, the Corel Channel Partner Program delivers a number of comprehensive and unique benefits including one-to-one account management, lead generation and various opportunities to create a recurring revenue stream across a wide range of in-demand product areas from digital imaging to productivity software.

The 5-Star Award, featured in the publication's March 20 issue, honors vendors that show the most channel innovation, involvement and dedication. The Top 100 Channel Executives List, featured in the publication's April 4 issue, highlights channel leaders that have the greatest impact on their companies and channel partners.

"These two awards distinguish Corel's channel program from the industry and validate our goal of providing partners with all of the necessary tools to reach value conscious small businesses and consumers who seek more affordable, reliable, easier to use packaged software," said Patrick Morley, executive vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas at Corel.

"It is a great honor to be on the definitive list for channel executive excellence alongside some of the best in the business," said Walji. "The challenge for myself and Corel will be to continue to offer our partners best-in-class support and innovative incentives to provide consumers and small businesses with the choice they desire."
