The Columbia Design League hosts Charleston native and nationally acclaimed architect Ray Huff at the Columbia Museum of Art.
Huff reflects on a lifetime of viewing the world through the architect’s prism. The audience explores his previous and current experiences and where they may lead.
In addition to practicing architecture with partner Mario Gooden, with Huff + Gooden Architects, Huff is the founding director of the Clemson Architecture Center in Charleston, where he is assistant professor of architecture.
He held the distinguished Bishop Chair at Yale University’s Graduate School of Architecture.
Huff lectures nationally and internationally and his work has been published in the New York Times, Metropolis and Architectural Record.
The Ray Huff lecture is the third lecture in the 2008-2009 Design League series.
Lecture topics highlight architecture, city planning, public art, interior design and graphic design.
Speakers come from around the country and around the corner to provide the opportunity for attendees to learn about different design perspectives.
The mission of the Columbia Design League is to encourage and promote passion for design excellence and understanding of design’s broad impact on the community.
