Jeffrey Castel, Production Coordinator for Clear Channel Outdoor-Los Angeles will be cycling 545 miles, from San Francisco to Los Angeles, to raise money and awareness for the AIDS/LifeCycle bike ride.
To train for the seven-day event, Castel will give up his weekends and ride his bicycle hundreds of miles. Proceeds from the ride will benefit the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the L. A. Gay & Lesbian Center.
HIV/AIDS cases have been on the rise in America with costs for medical care and treatment per person at about $20,000 a year.
Proceeds from this ride will help those living with HIV/AIDS gain greater independence and will provide funding for medical treatment.
Jeffrey Castel hopes to raise $3,000 as his contribution.
