Design Basics Experts: Woman-Centric' Home Design Concept
PRESS RELEASE

January 2009

Design Basics, the nation's largest home plans design firm and national expert in 'woman-centric' home design, will present its breakthrough concepts at the 2009 International Builders' Show in Las Vegas.

A Design Basics panel will present "A Case Study: How Five Minneapolis Builders Became REMARKABLE." Attendees will hear from:

  • Paul Foresman, Director of Business Development for Design Basics

  • Helene Severson, Vice President/Broker for Severson Homes

  • Jeremy Skogquist, Partner with NIH Homes, LLC

  • Rick Storlie, President and Founder of New Home Sales Coach LLC

In 2008, a group of Minnesota homebuilders formed the Minnesota Woman-Centric Homebuilders Consortium.

This group partnered with Design Basics, creators of the innovative Woman-Centric Matters home plans concept, which has helped more than 100 builders succeed despite the downturn of the housing market.

Two of the five homebuilders will discuss how designing woman-centric homes has dramatically increased their business.

On January 22, Design Basics President, Linda Reimer and Foresman will unlock the secrets of home personalities in their presentation "Meet The Buyers: Margo, Claire, Maggie and Elise."

Reimer and Foresman will reveal how years of researching women's personalities has culminated into Finally About Me, a finely tuned enhancement to the Woman-Centric Matters program.

Finally About Me has identified four distinct personalities: Margo, Claire, Maggie and Elise, which helps homebuilders create the right home and buying experience catered to the woman homebuyer's exact needs.

Licensed Design Basics and Woman-Centric Matters! builders who will be at the 65th International Builders Show include:

  • Terrell Taylor, Group One Construction & Development

Taylor's use of woman-centric home plans has helped his business stand out in competitive northwest Indiana, a part of Chicago's metropolitan economy.

  • Hugh Fisher, Deerbrook Development

Fisher announced his first woman-centric model home in January 2008, where 300 people toured the home and he signed 41 new home contracts.

  • Sam Bradley, Sam Bradley Homes

Bradley has been chosen as the builder of the 2009 St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Dream Home, a Woman-Centric Matters home.

Bradley is donating his services as the builder and the building site is a 100 percent donation as well, courtesy of Lions Gate Development, L.L.C.

  • Dan Kliethermes, Kliethermes Homes & Remodeling

  • Larry and Rachael Weissenburger, Rosewood Homes
