As part of JCDecaux’s drive to take share from the Press, the UK’s leading media owner has invested in a state-of-the-art ‘hub’ that will cut the time taken from receiving artwork to posting up the campaign by 24 hours.
The new system, known as ‘FastForward’ will mean artwork for last-minute or time-sensitive campaigns can be received on a Friday evening and printed and posted on Monday.
This includes Première formats, Hi-Definition recyclable posters and 6-sheets.
Based at JCDecaux’s head office at Summit House, the ‘Fast Forward’ hub will enable creative agencies to send artwork via a live link direct to the hub, where printing specifications, formatting and colour calibrations will be automatically checked. Once verified, the ‘Fast Forward’ hub will send the creative straight to JCDecaux’s nationwide network of printers.
Spencer Berwin, Managing Director - Sales said, “By investing in this high-tech new system JCDecaux is sending a message to advertisers, that we can take campaigns right up to the wire and still print and post them on time. While digital has been the catalyst for Outdoor’s ability to take last-minute campaigns, our traditional formats can now provide enormous flexibility, ideal for time-sensitive campaigns.”
