January 2009
UniKeep, a Univenture company, has announced its Annual Design Awards Contest for 2009.
In its sixth year, the contest offers an opportunity to win cash, Intuos 3 Pen Tablets from contest sponsor, Wacom , and yearly subscriptions to sponsoring magazines, Scrapbooking & Beyond and Paper Creations.
The "Sixth Annual UniKeep Design Awards Contest" runs for an entire year, ending 31 December 2009.
In addition to five monthly contest categories, 2009 will have four quarterly Bonus Categories to showcase creative designs for Univenture's eco-friendly organizing and archival products. Each quarterly Bonus Category will have a different theme and product to design.
"We're pleased Wacom has come onboard as a contest sponsor for 2009 and that Scrapbooking & Beyond and Paper Creations will continue as sponsors. Our nationally known judges, Jane Guthrie and Judi Kauffman, did a great job judging the 2008 contest and I'm excited they will again judge in 2009. Ginger Olivieri, a featured designer in UniKeep's Design Corner, will join our team of judges for 2009," said Ross Youngs, inventor of the UniKeep binder and CEO of Univenture and UniKeep.
"The addition of a variety of our eco-friendly products will provide a new canvas for entrants to create. I can't wait to see the all amazing designs this year!"
Judges for the UniKeep Design Awards for 2009 will be Jane Guthrie, Editor of Scrapbooking & Beyond and Paper Creations magazines and Judi Kauffman, MFA, a nationally known designer, writer and teacher, and Ginger Olivieri, a graphic designer and graduate of New York's School of Visual Arts.
"I'm very excited about the 2009 UniKeep contest," said Jane Guthrie.
"It's been a privilege to be part of the judging process for the many creative entries that are submitted every month. The talent that is showcased in each category just keeps getting better and better! Kudos to UniKeep for offering such a wonderful opportunity for artists to express themselves."
"I'm honored to return as a judge for Univenture's 2009 UniKeep design contest," said Judi Kauffman.
"It's a pleasure to see such a showcase of talent and creativity that's the perfect match for UniKeep binders and cases."
"I'm pleased to be invited as a judge for the 2009 UniKeep design contest," said Ginger Oliveri.
"It will be fun to see the creativity in designing for not only the UniKeep binders, but also for the variety of products this year's contest is including."
Contest categories are: Arts & Entertainment; Business & Professional; Education; Sports; Hobbies & Recreation and Bonus (Quarterly).
The UniKeep Annual Design Awards Contest was originated to provide graphic designers a chance to win cash for original, copyright-free designs authorized for public use.
