TheAlloy, a leading design consultancy, has announced that Gus Desbarats has been appointed Chairman of British Design Innovation South East.
Desbarats will draw upon his position as a BDI key Evaluator nationally to act as a champion for innovation in the region.
Desbarats has been appointed to the role because of his extensive experience of product and experience innovation, product development and brand consultancy through design.
"The South East is a hotbed of innovation," said Desbarats. "We will identify, assess and then recommend propositions from entrepreneurs and originators of Intellectual Property in the South East," said Desbarats.
"An effective way to achieve this is by entering into the BDI Innovation Filter to provide a commercial view on the viability of an idea." Innovation Filter is a process designed to assist entrepreneurs to assess the commercial viability of their ideas.
