Exec Digital, the online magazine for global business leaders, announced a number of key additions to its global editorial team in conjunction with the re-launch of the Exec Digital brand.

Martin Slofstra, former editor of Canada’s largest IT magazine, has joined Exec Digital as the Editor in Chief of Exec Digital Canada.
Slofstra has 25 years of experience covering the information technology industry in Canada, most recently serving as Editorial Director of the IT Business Group at Transcontinental Media, Canada’s largest publisher of IT-related magazines, newspapers and websites.
Slofstra became a Staff Writer for Computing Canada, a Plesman Communications publication, in 1985, and later served as Communications Editor and Editor for the magazine.
In 1997, he helped launch and became Editor of InfoSystems Executive, later re-titled as EDGE: Executives in Digital Global Economy, Canada’s first technology magazine for business executives.
“I’m thrilled to bring my extensive background covering technology to the evolution of journalism and media,” says Slofstra.
“We are creating a global editorial platform for delivering meaningful content to business executives located around the world–complete with local editions for each country.”
Joining Exec Digital as well, is Dean Tsouvalas as Editor-in-Chief of Exec Digital US.
Before Exec Digital, Tsouvalas spent almost two decades carving a unique career path through traditional and digital media, first as an award-winning TV producer who was part of the team that launched the FX Network and then at ABC News’ Prime Time Live, and 20/20 working for Diane Sawyer and Connie Chung.
In 2001, Tsouvalas became head of content for Lycos, going on to write the nationally-recognized daily column The Lycos 50. This role established Tsouvalas as a leading authority on the relationship between Web search and pop culture trends.
In 2006, he was named Executive Producer of social network Eons, established by Monster.com founder Jeff Taylor. Tsouvalas was responsible for creating, strategizing and directing the editorial voice.

Ben Lobel who joined in August 2008 with a background in newspaper journalism in the North West of England has been promoted to Editor of the UK Edition.
Ben has written for the Manchester Evening News, Nottingham Evening Post and the Bolton News after time on numerous provincial titles. He joined Exec Digital in August 2008 as Deputy Editor for the UK branch of the magazine.
