Sohan Qadri in this collection “Transient Lines” will awe with his tableaus of vibrant colours, representative of the deep meditative and transcendental colours of India.
An ex-Buddhist monk, Qadri is deeply influenced by Buddhist philosophy. The subliminal layers of his artwork, that are a result of Qadri’s deep meditation, synthesise spiritual transcendence with the aesthetics of colour energies.
Viewers are treated to a profusion of reds, brilliant cobalt blues, mauve, purple, orange and the vibrant green of nature. His palette of colours is the result of self concocted inks and dyes that filter in from behind meticulously serrated paper.
The vibrations created by the flow of colours are endless; they form a visual experience in an environment that is in essence formless; its essential nature infinite.
While these images are visually captivating, his work cannot merely be looked at; it must be experienced. The melding together of the one who experiences, and that which is expressed, forms an intuitive transcendence of physicality and space.
