The Bestee Awards is a celebration of the Threadless community, and the great work the designers have submitted over the year.
The grand $20K prize and the title "Design of the Year" went to Kneil Melicano of The Philippines for his design "Red."
Aled Lewis of London, UK is "Designer of the Year," and the recipient of a $10K award.
Ten additional prizes were given in various categories ranging from "Unprinted Designer" to "Blogger of the Year."
Moreover, in line with Threadless' commitment to fostering good design and creativity, Threadless is now announcing the launch of a Bestee of the Month award series.
The community will vote for a favorite design each month - the winner will receive an additional $2500, and the design will eligible for the huge $20,000 Design of the Year award.
January's designs will be eligible for voting consideration starting February 9, 2009, and will hopefully provide some additional incentives to young, emerging designers out there.
