Despite a weakened economy, a Northern Alabama firm grosses millions making logo-shaped clouds, establishing a new market in advertising called ‘sky-vertising.’
Last year, SnowMasters Evaporative Snow Systems released an innovative product called Flogos, environmentally safe synthetic clouds which can be made into many shapes, words, or logos.
Flogos lasts for hours and travel for miles, reaching any altitute desired.
After its introduction, Flogos is getting recognition and recently by the IAAPA Attractions Expo as ‘Best New Product’ in equipment and supplies.
Since then, public response to this newest form of guerrilla advertising has been tremendous.
SnowMasters has signed millions of dollars in sales for Flogos sky-vertising.
In 2008, Flogos performed services for Nintendo, Coors Light, McDonald's, Tampa Bay Rays, Sheraton and Harrah's Casinos to list a few.
“Americans now are hit with 3,600 marketing messages a day. Flogos cut through the clutter. We released Flogos in the shape of musical notes to promote our twentieth annual 'City Stages' music festival. They were released every 10 seconds and filled the sky. I've never seen such a people magnet,” said Guy McCullough, Creative Director of McCullough Advertising in Birmingham, Ala.
