The Society of Dyers & Colourists (SDC) and its partner organisation, SDC India, will be staging ‘Sustainability in Coloration: Vision 2020’ in June 2009.
This conference addressing key industry issues will be aimed at senior decision makers like chief executives, directors, consultants and dyehouse managers.
New SDC Chief Executive, Susie Hargreaves, will be travelling throughout India to promote the global conference and an associated exhibition which will focus on trends, developments and challenges likely to impact the textile industry over the next decade.
A line-up of speakers has already been assembled, and many are from global household names including Levi Strauss & Co. and BASF, as well as major India-based organisations including Grasim, Alok Industries and Technopak.
For two consecutive days, there will be presentations and networking session, including the Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) Ivan Levinstein Memorial lecture, which commemorates a pioneer of the dyestuff industry.
The conference will culminate with the awards dinner and the grand final of the SDC global design competition, as judged by a panel of leading designers and industry figures. Finalists will be present for the announcement of the grand winner and the presentation of the SDC Colour Design award.
