eBay Teams With Yigal Azrouël For Fall Fashion Week

PRESS RELEASE

February 2009

eBay has announced a collaboration with talented young designer Yigal Azrouël for Mercedes-Benz Fall Fashion Week.

The company will be an online sponsor for Azrouël’s men’s and women’s Fall/Winter 2009 runway shows and will also host a charity sale from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Proceeds will benefit Natural Resources Defense Council.

“eBay is thrilled to work with an amazing talent like Yigal Azrouël,” said eBay Style Director Constance White.

“eBay has always been a friend to the fashion industry. Through this collaboration we’re happy to support Yigal, one of the industry’s brightest new stars. By offering this young designer a platform to sell his collection, we will also be giving fashion lovers everywhere the opportunity to purchase designer pieces at great prices while giving back.”

This collaboration represents a continued commitment by eBay to supporting the fashion world.

In 2005 and 2007, eBay partnered with the CFDA and Vogue to present 7th on Sale—the largest sample sale on the Internet. eBay has also partnered with leading designers for past charity auctions. Azrouël is the latest design superstar to be championed by the online marketplace.

Of this arrangement with eBay, Azrouël said, “I'm really happy to be partnering with eBay for a project that will both bring my collection to a wider audience and give back to a great cause.”
