Drawn from the Portland Art Museum’s archive of the prints of Beth Van Hoesen (born 1926), this exhibition presents some 70 prints by this noted San Francisco artist.
Van Hoesen’s intimate portrayals bring out the beauty and eccentricities of her subjects, which includes people, animals, foodstuffs, flowers, still lifes, interiors, and landscapes.
The exhibition is organized by the Portland Art Museum and curated by Annette Dixon, Ph.D., curator of prints and drawings.
