“The Possibilities Of Pause” is an exhibition that showcases the variety of means that women in Delaware use in harnessing energies, consolidating thoughts, distilling feelings and unleashing the imagination to give form to their creative musings.
As part of the Delaware Art Museum’s ‘Outlooks Exhibition’ series, this display of paintings, drawings, photographs, and sculptural pieces includes works by artists who are academically trained or self-taught.
Some works testify to the legacies of landscape painting (particularly that of the psychologically inflected work of the late Andrew Wyeth) and of American illustration distinctly established by the Brandywine tradition.
