Ask Steve Frykholm what he does as creative director of Herman Miller Inc., and he offers: "I get into mischief."
He oversees the Zeeland office furniture maker's communications from annual reports to commercials.
His promotional and marketing pieces are nearly as acclaimed as the work of the company's renowned furniture designers: Charles and Ray Eames, George Nelson, Bob Propst and Bill Stumpf.
"His body of work is really amazing," said Beth Taylor with the Holland agency Fairly Painless Advertising.
"His perspectives are so fresh and so honest, within every design solution lies a new way of thinking, a fresh way of looking at things."
