Festival of Architecture and Forum will be held in Montreal.
The theme of the 2009 Festival and Forum, "Vision and Commitment," sums up in two words the unique and significant contribution that our profession makes to solving the environmental and economic problems that face us at the beginning of the 21st century.
With their visionary and holistic approach to the built environment, architects can help improve the quality of life in their communities when they make a full commitment and have access to effective tools for implementing their vision and bringing it to life.
The Festival will examine sustainable development, redefining the profession's approach to increasing the influence and effectiveness of architects' activities in the current environment, and look at examples of accomplishments in which architects have played a key role.
