Ron Arad is to leave his position as head of the Department of Design Products at the Royal College of Art.
Arad tells Design Week that this will be his last academic year, adding that "change is good".
Speaking of the reasons for his decision, Arad says, "Twelve years is a long time, and I think the course deserves someone new."
"I also find myself not having enough time to do the course in the way I want to," he adds.
