Revolution To Produce True Religion Branded Eyewear
PRESS RELEASE

March 2009

True Religion Apparel has announced a new licensing agreement with Revolution Eyewear to produce and distribute True Religion branded eyewear to launch worldwide in June 2009 in True Religion branded stores, national department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, and Barneys New York, and in more than 3,000 specialty stores, including Sunglass Hut. Additionally, Revolution is planning an international rollout to North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

“We are excited to announce the expansion of our licensing platform with the addition of Revolution Eyewear as our eyewear licensee,” said Jeffrey Lubell, chairman, CEO and creative director of True Religion Apparel.

“After evaluating several options, we felt that Revolution Eyewear showed the brand understanding, enthusiasm and ability to create and distribute a high quality, gorgeous line that will resonate well with our customers and consumers throughout the world.”

Revolution Eyewear’s keen sense of quality, shape, color, and materials made them a natural fit for the True Religion brand. We are confident that Revolution Eyewear will embrace the True Religion Brand Jeans design perspective so that this new partnership will result in unique, high-quality eyewear that complements our existing product categories and embodies the essence of True Religion Apparel.

“The addition of eyewear to our licensed platform represents a unique opportunity to not only build increased global awareness of the True Religion brand, but also drive growth in net sales and profitability.”

“We continue to view licensing opportunities as a key component to establishing True Religion as a global brand,” said Michael Buckley, President of True Religion Apparel. “We seek to expand our licensing business by driving growth within current categories as well as entering into new categories, ultimately reaching our long-term sales contribution goal of 5% from our licensing segment. Additionally, as our highest margin segment, we expect future growth in our licensing business to contribute meaningfully to our future profitability.”
