JWT China will be presenting a seminar at the coming AdFest in March.
The session titled ‘The Dragon Is Coming! The Wolf Is Coming!’ will describe the historical fear of Europe (the wolf) and Asia (the dragon) in a showcase of modern artworks, what this fear has created in the past and present and how to search for the contemporary spirit of both continents.
Inspirational figures of the Chinese art scene, Zhen Hua Li and Wuershan will deliver the presentation.
Hua Li is founder and Independent curator of MSG Production and BJ Art Lab in Beijing. Also a multimedia artist and producer with dozens of illuminating art shows including the China leg of the touring British Barbican Art Center exhibition ‘Communicate’ in 2005 and ‘Sustainable Imagination – Media Art In China 1999-2007’ in Beijing.
Wuershan is director at One Production in Beijing, also video artist born in Inner Mongolia in 1972 now living in Beijing. His cutting-edge exhibitions include “FUCK OFF” in Shanghai, China in 2000; the Shanghai Beinnale in 2004; ‘CAEP-Incest’ in 2005; and ‘China China China!!! Chinese Contemporary Art Beyond The Global Market’ which exhibits in 2008/09.
