The red dot Product Design competition has announced the winners of this prestigious accolade.
This year, interest in the award remained strong like in previous years with 3,231 entries from a total of 49 countries. This unwavering interest in the award says that companies have come to recognize the increasing importance of product design and its placing of them in an international arena.
The increase in competition entries represents at 16% spike from last year’s entry numbers and the jury panel awarded the ‘red dot’ to 683 products with 49 receiving the ‘red dot: best of the best’ recognition.
“In times of crisis, the respective companies make a conscious decision to submit fewer products, but these products are better than ever before,” says Professor Dr. Peter Zec, initiator of the red dot design award.
