Dennis Woodside has been named VP Americas Operations at Google, replacing Tim Armstrong who left for a chairman-CEO seat at Time Warner unit, AOL.
Woodside has been in Google for five years spending the last couple in Europe in a similar position to Armstrong’s function at Google. He worked in Google’s Eastern European office before moving to Dublin where he built Google’s inside sales operations from scratch. Woodside then rose up through the European ranks, establishing positive relations on both the advertiser and agency sides.
Armstrong was with Google for almost nine years.
